Thoughts from '61.

One day I accidentally found an article, which was from the 1961th issue. It's title was Will Life Be Worth Living In 2,000 AD?, so basically in the next century. Some of the predicted things were quite accurate and some were a real sci-fi. For example:
There will be machines doing the work of clerks, shorthand writers and translators. Machines will "talk" to each other.
Well, that's a real sci-fi. The machine doing the work of translators exists, tho.
I realized that in the article wasn't anything about the computers and at the same time there were things, that couldn't be possible without computers, like home control room.

  2. I remember reading a similar article.. The way they were saying it sounds silly, but what they said was disturbingly accurate.

I also remember a list of old quotes that made me shiver. Stuff like, "If gas ever costs more than $1 I'll stop driving"
